Every woman in the WA public system carries a paper handheld record. It is her clinical record, her education, her consent register, and the only link between everyone who touches her care. When it is left at home, lost in a move or forgotten in the car, the people caring for her are left guessing.
The delivering team cannot see the decisions she has already made. A clinician meeting her for the first time has no blood group, no allergies, no clinical flags. Her care team spends the first minutes of every appointment copying the same numbers by hand.
The maternity system is not short of data. It is short of coordination. That is the gap Olivia was built to close.
Olivia is not another tracking app. It is the real record, written by the clinicians who care for her, opened by her whenever she needs it.
Gestation, appointments, results, and the plan for her care, kept current by her team rather than copied out by her.
Her midwife, her obstetrician and her invited specialists write to her directly, in her record, in plain language.
Clinician backed reading arrives when it matters, from first trimester screening through to preparing for birth.
Birth preferences, newborn consents and wellbeing check ins are captured calmly, weeks before labour, and travel with her.
A clinician portal built around the visit, not around the database. Entry adapts to her gestation and her flags, and every observation is plotted over time so a change is easy to notice early.
Her caseload, today's list, results waiting for review and screenings due, all in one place at the start of the day.
Blood pressure, fundal height and growth plotted across the whole pregnancy, so a clinician sees the shape of it, not just today's number.
Team members, consulting clinicians, invited specialists and administrators each see exactly what their role allows, and every access is logged.
Where a clinician records a concern about a woman's safety or wellbeing, it stays within her care team and is not shown in her app. Access is limited to the roles that need it, and every view is logged.
If she presents anywhere in the state, she can surface a read only emergency summary: blood group, allergies, medications, gestation and her clinical flags, with the name and number of her primary midwife.
It is a deliberate subset, limited to what is useful in an emergency and nothing more.
Olivia has been shaped by direct feedback from women who have carried the paper record and from midwives working across metropolitan and regional Western Australia, in continuity models, hospital clinics and community programs. Every screen has been walked through with the people who would use it.

Olivia is a Western Australian company founded by two women who kept meeting the same problem from different sides: a maternity system full of careful, skilled work, held together by a booklet that goes missing.
Aimee leads the clinical case and the conversations with maternity services, clinicians and mothers across the state. She takes Olivia to the people it has to work for, and brings what they say back into the design.
Deliah leads the product design, and the conversations with maternity services, clinicians and mothers across the state. Every screen has been modelled by her against the way maternity care is really delivered.
